Yvonne Wildman Nichols

Yvonne Wildman Nichols, 81, of Huddleston, VA passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Noah’s Landing. She was born in Evington on May 2, 1943, to the late John Elisha Wildman and Doris Wood Wildman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Rucker Nichols and sisters, Carolyn Witt and Phyllis Warren.

Yvonne was an active member at Bethlehem Baptist Church. She worked as a secretary at Trinity Baptist Church for many years. Yvonne loved to read her Bible and journal. She also enjoyed gardening, writing poems and most of all watching her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Nichols and Jason Nichols and wife, Deeanna; grandchildren, Luke, Matt, Noah and Mackenzie and sister, Charlotte Nichols.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Dooley officiating. Burial will follow in the church’s cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
