William N. Albert, 87, of Bedford County died at home on Monday, November 16, 2020 following an extended illness with Carilion Hospice and his family in attendance.
Born in New Jersey on February 13, 1933, he is survived by his wife of over 20 years Martha J. Hunter Albert. Also, her family as well as 3 stepchildren in California.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, David.
Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran serving his country during the Korean War. He later retired from General Motors after 28 years as warehouse foreman. He retired to Smith Mountain Lake where he made his home and spent the last 30 years.
Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery
