William “Bill” Leslie Watson, IV, 78, of Lynchburg, VA, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023. He was married to Carole Seifert Watson for 46 years.
Bill was born on December 24, 1944, in Santa Monica, California, the son of the late William Leslie Watson, III, and Mary Jane Schultz Watson. Bill retired from practicing law in the television and radio industry and was active in his local community. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: Scott Watson and his wife Lauren of South Orange, NJ, Nick Watson and his wife Lisa of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Aaron Lafortune of New Hampshire, and five grandchildren: Ryllie, Michael, Everett, Pierce, and Finley.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg, 220 Breezewood Dr, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Rd, Lynchburg, VA, 24502.
