William Lester Jenkins

William Lester Jenkins, 77, of Boonsboro / Bedford County, VA passed away on October 30, 2025. He was the son of the late Walter and Marie Jenkins, and the husband of Anna Rose Jenkins for 57 years. 

William was born on January 25, 1948, in Pikeville, KY. He attended school at Wheelwright High School in KY, proudly served in the US Navy for 5 years, and completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business at George Washington University. William was a devoted and loving family man who was most proud of being a husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, to include many wonderful family vacations and boating adventures on the lake. He was a community volunteer and a proud member of the Virginia Freemasons.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by his children: Yolanda Regan (husband Brent Regan) and Jeffrey Jenkins; his grandchildren: Skylar Jenkins, Sydney Regan, Adam Jenkins, Jacob Regan, and Karly Jenkins; his brother Jim Jenkins (wife Marsha Jenkins); and many loving friends in the community. 

A private, family visitation will be held on Sunday November 2, 2025 and a public memorial service is planned for Monday November 3, 2025, at 11:00 am, both at Tharp Funeral Home.
