William "Wil" "BIlly" Nelson Comer

William “Wil” “Billy” Nelson Comer, 51, of Bedford, Virginia, died on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital surrounded by family after a short illness. He was born November 18, 1974 a son of Nelson Glenn Comer and the late Rose Mary McGhee Comer. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his Paternal and Maternal grandparents; and aunts, Earnestine C. Stevens, Dale C. Smith.

Billy is survived by his father, Nelson Glenn Comer; uncle, Gene Comer (Denise); two aunts, June C. Surface, Dorothy C. Hodges (Dexter); and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Billy loved music, especially hard rock. He also loved to travel and liked museums, and visiting waterfalls.

The family will receive friends from 4:00- 6:00pm Saturday October 24, 2026 at Tharp Funeral Home 320 North Bridge Street Bedford, VA 24523. A private family burial at a later date.
