Wendy Renee Wilson

Wendy Renee Wilson, 38, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025. She was born in Bedford on June 12, 1987. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel B. Wilson; paternal grandfather, Alvin L. Wilson; paternal step-grandfather, Calvin “Pops” G. Jones; maternal grandparents, James and Evelyn Connors and aunt, Ann Crenshaw.

Wendy loved her family and especially her son, Kian. Although he didn’t live with her, she kept in touch as much as possible. Even though she struggled with addiction her whole adult life, Wendy had a heart of gold and always wanted to help others. She worked as a CNA caregiver taking care of those in need. Wendy was known as a fashionista. She had a love for fashion, especially shoes starting at a young age.

She is survived by her mother, Bonnie C. Wilson, brothers, Dustin B. Wilson and wife, Tammy (Chloe and Paisley) and Jeremy C. Wilson; son, Kian Goode; grandmother, Betty W. Jones; uncle, James G. Wilson; aunt, Dawn Phipps (James); special friends, Stan Strickland, Elizabeth Strickland, Michele Brown and Debbie O'Brien; Kian's dad, Fuquan Goode and a host of other family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Land In Between Ministry, P.O. Box 10191 Lynchburg, VA 24506, who was helping Wendy by reaching her thru the love of God and His word.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Bedford Baptist Church with the Pastor David O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
