Wallace Junior Majure, 95, passed away quietly Thursday night, August 30, 2012. He was born September 23, 1916 in Neshoba County, Mississippi. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Clyde Majure and Onie Hall Majure; a son, Wallace J. Majure II, and nine of twelve brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 70 years, Margarett Mitchiner Majure; one son, David S. Majure (Gayle); three grandsons, Wallace J. Majure III (Michelle) of Georgia, David Simon Majure, and Robert Wallace Majure of Suffolk; two great grandsons, Carson Wallace Majure, and Joshua Eric Majure of Atlanta, GA. He will also be greatly missed by three loving sisters, Vickie M. Souder of Ohio, Joy McCool (Billy) of Mississippi, and Gaye Miller of Arizona.
Wallace earned his Bachelor\"™s Degree from Mississippi State University in 1939 and went on to earn a Master\"™s Degree from NC State in 1941. Wallace worked 20 years for Chevron Chemical and then at Prentice Hall Publishing until he retired.
Wallace loved bird watching, bowling, golfing and fishing with his best friend, Bill Fortune Sr. He especially loved spending time with his family. The family will receive friends this evening, September 1, 2012, from 6 to 8 pm at the home.
