Van Lewis Parker, 80, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020. He was the wonderful and caring husband of Brenda Hobson Parker for 11 years.
Born in Bedford on October 7, 1939, he was a son of the late Robert and Nannie Tinsley Parker.
In addition to his wife, Van is survived by his daughter, Lindore Harper; sisters, Veronica Parker and Mary Parker; brothers, Martin Parker and wife, Janice, Johnny Parker and wife, Brenda; Nieces, Karen Spinner and Cindy Hood.
Van proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, he was a hard worker and a member of Western Light Church.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, is assisting the family.
