Valeria Jefferson, 76, of Lynchburg, transitioned from this life on Monday February 2, 2026 at her residence. Born June 16, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Julius and Ann Campbell Bell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband David Anthony Jefferson, Sr. and sisters: Joan Poole, Carolyn Johnson and Wanda Bell.

Valeria is survived by her son, Gary Bell: Grandchildren, Jason Fisher (Popee) Great-grandchild, Jalesa Fisher Sister, Dorothy Cook (Joseph): Niece, Natasha Poole: Nephews: Alfred Dean, Jr., Herbert Lee Bell, French Poole, III, Antine Bell: Great nieces and nephews, Dominique Noel, Jawad Noell and Quinci Poole, Brittney Dean.

To my mothers amazing caregivers, Jearlene Dixon, Luci Placide, Brenda Braxton, Dachena Rucker. I will always be grateful for how you helped her preserve her dignity and manage her health with such courage. Knowing she was in your hands brought me great comfort and allowed me to focus on precious final moments instead of worries. For that I will always be grateful to you all. A funeral service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg Chapel on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 2:00P.M. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Burial Park. Ms. Jefferson will lie in repose for public viewing one hour prior to the service.
