Timothy Alexander "Timmy" Gibson

Timothy Alexander “Timmy” Gibson, 18 of Roanoke, passed away tragically on Thursday, May 14, 2026, for injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Roanoke, VA on March 18, 2008. A son of Ruby Jean Delp Highsmith and the late Charles Christopher Gibson Sr.; Maternal Grandmother, Trudy “Nana” Delp; Maternal Grandfather, Steve Delp Sr.; paternal grandmother, Melissa “Missy” Wright; Aunt Niki Highsmith; Additionally, Timmy lost his girlfriend Annie Hallauer and his special four-legged companion Daisey Mae Gibson in the accident.

Timmy was a jack of all trades, a helper, a lover and friend to so many. He was always willing to lend a helping hand in any way. He was truly loved by his family and friends, but his memory will continue to touch the lives that loved him so much.

Timmy is survived by his mother’s, Ruby Delp Highsmith and her husband, Miki Highsmith and Sandrel Couch Gibson; 11 siblings and their spouses and children, Ashly Gibson, Elijah Black, Charles Christopher Gibson, Jr., Annie Thompson, Maximus Gibson, Legacy Halford, Christopher Gibson, Aurora Gibson, Alyssa Highsmith, Krystina Highsmith and Olivia Highsmith; favorite uncle Mike Epperly; paternal grandfather, Michael Wright; best friends, Trevor Delp, JJ Ruff, Lexi Epperly, James Smith, Clinton Delp, David Hallauer, and Brandon Oliver, and Nana Frances Wilmoth. Also, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A memorial service and celebration of Timmy’s life will be conducted at a later date. The family has expressed those wishing to make memorial contributions in Timmy’s memory please consider, Teen Awareness Charity.
