Thomas Hunter Fletcher, 75, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on September 22nd, 2026. He was the son of the late George Hunter Fletcher and Catherine Brown Fletcher.

Tom was born on April 16th, 1951, in Newport News, Virginia. He attended school at Frederick Military Academy and graduated from York High School before going into the United States Air Force and pursuing a career in hospitality.

Tom enjoyed playing golf and will be remembered for his quick wit.

Tom is survived by siblings, John Gary Fletcher and Catherine Hedley Fletcher Ducoff; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Ellen Fletcher, and his brother, Richard Custis Fletcher.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society.

Memorial services will be held at a future date.
