Thomas Marvin Elliott, Jr., 77, of Lynchburg went to be with the Lord on August 19th, 2026, after a long battle with health issues.

Born August 7th, 1949, he was the son of the late Thomas Elliott, Sr. (Carrie) and Josie Hudson (Joseph). He was also preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Perscilla Carter Elliott and his brother William “Bill” Elliott.

He is survived by one brother Michael Elliott (Rhonda), one sister Sandy Elliott, and one stepbrother Joey Hudson. He leaves behind four children; Timothy Elliott (Cyndi), Stephanie Harrison (Terry), Thomas “LT” Elliott, III (Dawn), and Jodie James (Frank), eight grandchildren; Tyler, Madison, Hayley, Sophie, Tabitha, Shaun, Carter, and Kayleigh, ten great grandchildren, as well as his devoted friend Patrick Thompson.

Thomas spent his life working hard as a Master electrician, instructor at Job Corp, and driving tractor trailers. For most of his life he was a musician. He played the keyboard for numerous bands over the years and made lifelong friends along the way. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing every chance he had and was a lifetime member of the 715 Chapter of The Moose.

He will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg.

A Funeral Service for Thomas will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2026, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Pastor Dan Dibble officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will also receive guests at the home of his daughter Jodie at 226 Crestside Dr. Evington, VA.
