Thomas Edward Phelps, 73, of Huddleston, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. He was born May 24, 1939 in Falls Church, Virginia, a son of the late Owen Clyde Phelps and Sarah Elizabeth McMillan Phelps.
He is also preceded in death by his brother, David Owen Phelps.
Thomas was a retired insurance salesman. He loved fishing, hunting, and was an excellent pencil artist.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Donna Wooldrige Phelps; children, Richard Phelps and his wife, Patricia, James W. Berry and Boni Hiner, Michael D. Berry and his wife, Lucia; and Angela B. Salmon and her husband, Bryan; a sister-in-law, Brenda Phelps; a nephew, David Phelps and his wife, Tiffany and his three children; special friend, Ronnie Harris; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Thomas\"™ life will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home Bedford, with Rev. James E. Compton officiating. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 540-586-3443.
