Thomas Edward “Pete” Cashwell, Jr., 62, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Born on August 29, 1959 in Lynchburg, Va. Pete was a son of the late Thomas Edward Cashwell, Sr. and Gladys Jean Turner Cashwell.
Pete was truly a man of action. He was always willing to help anyone in need from assisting strangers to changing a flat tire. He was always available to help his family in any situation. He drove many years as a truck driver which enabled him to see the country and meet many people throughout the United States. He had a deep devotion for his children and family. Always with a smile, you could count on Pete to be there for you when you needed assistance and encouragement.
Pete leaves behind a memory of a loving family which includes his daughter, Angel Cashwell and her daughter, Angel Huntley; his son Joseph Cashwell, his wife Danielle, and their children Nevaeh, Andrea, and Joseph, Jr.; his grandchildren Christopher, Danesha, Tyrone, and TeJay Cashwell, all of whom are the children of his eldest son, Thomas Edward Cashwell, III who preceded Pete in death; as well as Ella, Rose, John, James, Nicole, Kishia, and Jerry Cashwell.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, is assisting the family.
