Thelma Knowles Fore, 81, of McLeansville, NC, died Thursday, October 28, 2010. She was the wife of the late Samuel Pax Fore.
Born Monday, July 08, 1929 in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of the late Harry Hobson Knowles and Nannie Francis Knowles.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harry and Bucky.
Thelma is survived by two daughters; Donna Sterne and her husband, Glen, of Bedford, and Debora K. Fore, of McLeansville, NC\"™ a son; Samuel Pax Fore, Jr. and his wife, Molly, of Lewisville, NC, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two sisters; Frances Brooks and her husband Clyde, and Peggy Layne, both of Lynchburg, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg and other times at the home of her daughter, Donna Sterne. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 01, 2010 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Powell Sykes officiating.
