Terry Dean Lee

Terry Dean Lee, 56, of Lynchburg passed after a short battle with cancer on Monday, July 20, 2020. He was the husband of Margaret Proffitt Lee for almost 34 years. She was his first and only true love. Terry was born November 11, 1963 in Richmond Va., son of the late Earl Scott Lee and Charlotte Grow Lee. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons: William Scott Lee of Lynchburg, Andrew Dean Lee of Kentucky, and Rufus Alan Lee of Lynchburg, mother-n-law Earline Austin, Sister in law Lynn (husband Maurice), brother in law Rufus Proffitt (wife Melissa) five grandchildren, Christopher, Theo, Shiian, Elizabeth and Alanah and three sisters Marcia Daly (husband Jim) of Lakeland Florida, Jennifer Poindexter (husband Lewis) of Fairview Heights Illinois and Belinda Carroll (husband Dean) of Big Island Virginia. He also left behind multiple nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alan and Wayne.

Terry worked very hard in support of his family, He was a loving man and would always do his best to help anyone he could. He enjoyed good times with friends and family. He never met a stranger. The family will hold a memorial service for Terry at the home of his sister in Big Island.
