Steve, born in 1959, passed away in 2026 after a courageous and unwavering battle with cancer. Through every stage of his journey, Steve showed incredible strength, perseverance, and a deep determination to hold onto each and every day of life. He faced his illness the same way he lived his life—with gratitude, resilience, and heart.
Steve truly loved life. He found joy in the simple and meaningful moments—listening to music, playing the drums, spending time on the golf course, and most of all, watching his sons play ball when they were young. He had a natural ability to make people laugh, and his sense of humor brought light into every room he entered. Being around Steve meant feeling joy, warmth, and genuine connection.
Above all, Steve was a devoted father and family man. He loved deeply and fully, and his children were the center of his world. The love he gave and the memories he created with those closest to him will live on forever.
Steve is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Geraldine and Bill, and his brother, Billy.
He is survived by his brothers, Matt and Tommy; his sisters, Patti and Karen; his brother-in-law, Timmy; his former spouse, Rhonda; and his four sons, Alex, Dylan, Max, and Noah, who carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and strength.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on May 16th at 12:12 PM at Parkway Marina, 16918 Smith Mountain Lake Parkway, Huddleston, Virginia. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life so beautifully lived.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be made to MusicLink Foundation, an organization that helps underprivileged children learn and develop a love for music—something that meant so much to Steve.
