Stan Hicks, 60, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on August 17, 2026. He was the son of the late Edward Stanton Hicks, Sr. and Phyllis Ann Hicks.

He was born on August 19, 1965, in Lynchburg, Virginia. Stan was a proud graduate of E.C. Glass High School and James Madison University.

Stan is survived by his wife, Sarah McHaney-Hicks; daughter, Julia Hicks; and granddaughter, Chloe Bowen.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Leslie Vaughn.

A memorial visitation will be held at Tharp Funeral Home on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM.
