It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Staci Lynn Svenson, age 52, of Roanoke VA who passed away on June 19, 2026, at her residence. She was born on August 24, 1973, in Norwich, NY. A daughter of Clayton E. Svenson and the late Luanne Ida Hicks Bowling.
Staci graduated from Roanoke College with a bachelor’s degree. She was a server and bartender with Olive Garden in Roanoke for many years. She loved her patrons and always took great care of each of them. She loved Jesus, the New York Giants, Kentucky Wildcats, trips to the beach especially the Outer Banks of North Carolina, great food and spending time with her friends and family especially her best friend Shannon and their dog Preston.
In addition to her father, Staci is survived by her step mother Karen Svenson, step brothers Jeremiah Funke Johnson, Garret Shaw and Everett Shaw, step sisters Dorri Shaw Johnson and Holly Shaw, her brother Joshua Binelli, sister and brother in law Shelley and John Gouvisis, niece Payton Gouvisis, step father Vincent Bowling, best friend Shannon Presnell, and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends
Staci was truly a special person who had a spirit that shined bright. She was known for her kindness, generosity and ability to make people laugh. She had a way of uplifting those around her, making people feel truly seen and cared about and spent a lifetime making the world a softer place. She was loved by so many, will be greatly missed and forever remembered. A memorial service and celebration of Staci’s life will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church in Roanoke.
