Skylor Ezekiel-Cain Eagle, 19, of Appomattox VA, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 19, 2026 due to a tragic car accident.

He was born in Lynchburg, VA on February 11, 2007, to Jonathan Ernest Eagle and Samantha Rose Eagle. He recently graduated from Cornerstone Christian Academy in 2025 and was currently enrolled as a junior at Liberty University studying to be a mechanical engineer.

He is survived by his father and mother, Jonathan Ernest Eagle and Adrienne Lindsay Watson, four siblings, Adrienne, Kristopher, and Aiden Eagle, as well as Emerald Taylor; grandparents, Joe and Jackie Kent, Mike and Dinah Watson, and John and Lisa Eagle along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Skylor is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Cynthia Eagle, and his maternal grandmother, Teresa Kent.

Taken from us far too soon at just 19 years old, he leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will forever be cherished. He found joy in so many things—shooting, music, four-wheeling, video games, disc golf, and hanging out with his buddies at the shop or playing D&D. He loved walking along the beach at night, where he could simply enjoy the peace and beauty around him, and he treasured every moment playing and laughing with his brothers and sisters. One of his greatest passions was spending time with his dad, especially fixing up his beloved Mountaineer and attending concerts—time together that meant more than words could ever express. His heart was also full of love for his animals: his dog, Mollie; his cats, Dutch, Lea, Booger and Tutu, the neighborhood cat he lovingly adopted as his own. Though his time with us was heartbreakingly short, the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026 from 6-8 pm with a memorial service on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 3:00 pm, both at Tharp Funeral Home, 220 Breezewood Dr, Lynchburg, VA 24502. He will be laid to rest at Timber Ridge Baptist Church, 3234 Timber Ridge Rd., Bedford, VA 24523. The service will also be available for livestream on the Tharp Funeral Home website.
