Sherrie Butler Cash, 57, of Forest, Va., died Monday, December 14, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Timothy Shannon Cash.
Born November 8, 1958, she was the daughter of James Roland Butler, Sr. and Josephine Rittenour Butler.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Derek Cash and his wife, Sarah, of Atlanta, Ga., and Devin Cash and his wife, Therese of Richmond, Va.; a grandchild, Josephine Cash of Richmond, Va.; and a brother, James Roland Butler, Jr. and his wife, Lily.
Sherrie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother who enjoyed her family and her pets.
Services will be held Friday, December 18, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 401 N. Main Street, Amherst, VA 24521, with the Rev. Nancy Johnson and Rev. James Garner officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Sherrie’s memory to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060; or the Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
