Sharon Crawford Jambard, aged 74, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife to Roger Peter Jambard for 27 cherished years.
Born on June 5, 1951, in Altavista, VA, Sharon was the daughter of the late Guthrie Gilmer Crawford, Jr. and Billie Albert Crawford. She dedicated her professional life to serving as a financial accountant at the Virginia International Terminal in Norfolk, VA, until her well-deserved retirement.
A member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church, Sharon also found joy and community in her role as treasurer for the Concord Seniors Happy Hearts group, where she made lasting friendships.
Sharon’s legacy is carried on by her daughters, Annitta Sigmund and her husband, Steve of Ohio, and Diana Matthews and her husband, John of Connecticut. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Sean, Philip, Steven, Lauren, Seth, Kassie, Gabe, Taylor, and Brittany, as well as her great-grandchildren: Kayden, Paitlynn, Jade, Milania, Timothy, Johnny, and Luca. She is also survived by her siblings, Kathy Thompson, Buddy Crawford, Brad Crawford, and his wife Dee, and Liz Walker, and her husband Ricky. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Billie Morris.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church. Friends and family are invited to greet the family one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
