Ruby Marie Smith
\"Granny\" Ruby Marie Smith, 88 years old, died April 8, 2011 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ralph Steele of Moneta.
Born in Wyoming County, WV, she was the daughter of the late John and Julie (Green) Lane. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Radford and second husband, Floyd Smith, a daughter Daisy Janney, two sons, Walter and Bobby Radford, and one grandson, Paul Steele.
Ruby leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Mary Steele and husband, Ralph of Moneta; son-in-law, Dave \"Coon\" Janney of Premier, WV; six grandsons and three granddaughters, seven great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; a host of very special friends, a special nurse, Kathy Neese and social worker, Chris Helton.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Burns officiating. Interment will follow the service at 2:30 p.m. at Ruby\"™s final resting place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bluefield, WV.
