Roger William Buckner

Roger William Buckner, 61 of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on December 27, 2023.

Roger was born in West Palm Beach, Florida and moved to Mars Hill, North Carolina at a young age.

He graduated from North Buncombe High School in Weaverville, North Carolina and pursued a career in manufacturing. Roger was a very skilled tool and die maker until his retirement.

Roger was a wonderful husband and father with a huge heart and generous personality. He always put others first. He enjoyed fishing and cooking.

Roger was predeceased by his parents Edsel William and Marie Haynes Buckner and his daughter Tristan Nicole.

He is survived by his wife Erika Sheaffer of Lynchburg, Virginia, his stepson Dalton S. Love of Raleigh, North Carolina and his brother and sister-in-law Gary and Sandra Buckner of Mars Hill, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor at a further date.
