Robert Clayton Parrish

Robert Clayton Parrish, 85, of Elliston, Virginia passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at his home with his wife by his side. He was born in Roanoke, VA on February 18, 1941, a son of the late Clay Oliver Parrish and Hazel Brown Parrish. In addition to his Parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Gladys Morti Speaker, Patricia Baratini, and Linda P. Stewart; brother, Lewis W. Parrish.

Robert is survived by his wife, Karen Hensley Parrish; son, Robert Parish II; daughters, Brandie Carlisle, and Kim Conley; sisters, Carolyn Jordon, and Jean Anderson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; numerous other family and friends

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Lafayette Gospel Church 5310 Walthall Street, Lafayette, Virginia 24087. Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford is assisting the family.
