Robert Wilson Hall

Robert Wilson Hall, age 78, of Evington, VA, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Robert is predeceased by his father, Flemon Wilson Hall and his mother, Ruth Maxey Hall.

Though most of Robert’s life was lived in Evington, VA, his love for his childhood home of Floyd, VA was experienced in his stories, his kindness, his grit, his hard work and service, and his devotion to those he loved. Robert worked in many roles at Babcock and Wilcox for 42 years. His abilities and work ethic were passed on to those who worked with him and witnessed in his children.

Robert was the beloved husband of Shelby Wade Hall, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful family and a lifetime of memories.

Robert was the proud father of three children: Teresa Marsh (David), Richard Hall (Sara), and Donald Hall, who all brought him endless joy and pride. He cherished his four remarkable grandchildren, Lauren, Caitlin, Lillian, and Elliott, and a delightful great-grandchild, Harlynn. His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and he took great pleasure in watching each new generation grow.

Robert is also survived by his dear sister, Ruth Rohme and her children Jackie and Jenny; and their children, who remained close companions and lifelong friends, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins across many states.

Those who knew Robert will remember his warmth, humor, and willingness to sacrifice for others. Whether sharing a story, lending a helping hand, or simply enjoying time with loved ones, he made everyone feel valued and cared for.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, 1 pm at Living Waters Church, 1071 Waterlick Road in Lynchburg, VA

Though he is no longer with us, Robert’s smile, his laugh, his gentle presence, and his love will remain forever in us all.
