Robert (Bobby) A. Daugherty

Robert Arbour Daugherty, 79 of Lynchburg, Virginia died on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. He was the son of the late Walter F. and the late Rose K. Daugherty.

 Following graduation from Colorado University, and service in the U. S. Navy, Robert resided for many years in Seattle Wash., moving to Lynchburg in 2009.

 Robert is survived by his sister, June Alderson and his brother, Richard Daugherty and wife, Debra of Lynchburg. He leaves a niece, Julie Quarles and her husband, Carey; three nephews, Steve Daugherty, Scott Daugherty and his wife, Grace and Robert Daugherty and his wife, Lisa, all of Richmond, VA.

In addition, Robert is survived by a sister-in-law, Velma Daugherty, and nephew Donald Daugherty and wife, Mary of Swink and Denver, Colorado, another nephew, Glen Daugherty of Los Angeles, California, three grand nieces, Kelsey, Jessica and Kristen Daugherty all of Richmond, Va.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home and Cremation, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 528 Leesville Road Lynchburg, VA 24502.
