Richard E. Parshall died late in the evening of February 12, 2014 after a brief & sudden illness. He was the son of Dallas D. Parshall & Maude E. Carey.
Born in 1924, he grew up in Darien, CT, served in the Army Air Corp & left Pratt Institute to work as Art Director at his brothers NYC studio. He managed his retired fathers Garden Equipment store in Old Greenwich & did commercial Still Life photography as a side line.
He is survived by Anabel, his wife of 68 years, his sons, Alan ( Elaine), Glenn ( Joanne) Tim (Sarah), daughter Jane French( Larry), grandsons Adam, David (&Tabitha), Kyle, granddaughter Lindsay & great granddaughters Addison &Reese.
He loved playing tennis, ping pong, sailing on Long Island Sound & speed skating.
Other activities included 8 major additions to his house in Old Greenwich. At age 80 he designed a house that was built in Virginia, where he lived for almost 10 years.
