Rev. Dr. Harry E. Braxton Jr., former Pastor of Level Run Baptist Church entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 8, 2019 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Deacon Harry E. and Deaconess Dorothy Braxton.
Dr. Braxton leaves to cherish his memories and legacy, his loving and devoted wife, Minister Pearl Braxton. Beloved children; Harry E. Braxton III of Madison Heights, Donnie and Cheryl Braxton of Dale City, Rev. Annette and Rev. Andreal Braxton of Madison Heights; loving grandchildren, Ashleigh, Kristina, Shaelynn, Aarron and Samantha Braxton all of Dale City; loving siblings, Elizabeth and Albert Austin of Madison Heights, Theressa Christian of Wilson N.C., James and Enid Braxton of Port Saint Lucie F.L., Rev. Dr. Sherleen and Rev. Dr. Earnest Scott of Lynchburg and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Fifth Street Baptist Church, Lynchburg, VA with Rev. Ernest Scott officiating. Eulogists will be his twin daughters, Rev. Andreal and Rev. Annette Braxton. The Rev. Dr. Harry Braxton Jr., will lie in repose Saturday, April 13, 2019 and Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights, and one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Rose Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Galts Mill Road, Madison Heights.
