Phyllis Regina Bryant

Phyllis Regina Bryant, 61, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born in Bedford on December 21, 1964, to the late Alfred Hurt and Ruby Jane Bryant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tony Bryant and Albert Bryant and sisters, Christy Payne and Gracie Bryant and granddaughter, Heaven Scott.

Phyllis loved to watch old westerns and play cards. She also loved to cook, especially for her family. Above all, she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Lewis Bryant and wife, Jennifer and April Bryant; grandchildren, Demareon Bryant, Devin Bryant, Kamareus Best, Trenton Best and Kayleigh Bryant; siblings, LaTisha Hilbert, Randy Bryant and wife, Jackie, Frances Bryant and husband, Charles, as well as numerous half brothers and sisters; sister-in-law, Theresa and brother-in-law, Bobby Payne.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Tharp Funeral Chapel, Bedford, with the Rev. Mark Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
