Philip Jason Ore, 58, of Forest, Virginia, passed into Glory way too soon, suddenly after a brief illness, on September 21, 2025. He was a faithful and loyal servant of God, a member of Forest Baptist Church, and a loving and faithful husband to his beloved wife, Susan Lafon Ore for 32 years.

A man of many interests, Philip loved spending time with family, going on outings, history, ancestry, his Haynes grandparents’ farm, old things, Civil War, rooting for Va Tech Hokies and Minnesota Vikings football. Phil was such a good man, loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, cousin, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law. A shining example of the fruits of the spirit, so thoughtful, caring, a loyal friend, funny, friendly, always eager to help others. A proactive believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, raising his family in the faith. A big burly guy, but really just a gentle giant teddy bear deep inside, unless on the rare occasion you goofed up big time and got him really mad, ha.
