Patricia Kell West, 80 of Moneta, Virginia died on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 131 Charmwood Circle Moneta, Virginia.

 Born Saturday, September 24, 1932 in Millville, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late William Forrest Kell and the late Kathryn Summers Kell. She was the devoted wife for 58 years of J. Richard West.

 Patricia graduated from Millville High School. She received a Bachelor\"™s Degree in Arts from Douglass College, continuing her education; Patricia received a Degree for Speech Pathology. She loved going on camping trips with her husband and three kids. As her children grow older, she worked as a Speech Pathologist and Consultant in Hospitals, Rehab Centers and Schools. Her special expertise was with stroke patients of all ages. Patricia and Richard were married on June 12, 1954, and enjoyed 58 years of loving and caring.

She loved traveling all over the world, including Antarctica, Africa and Galapagos with her husband Richard. She also enjoyed kayaking, hiking, sailing adventures, volunteering and meeting new friends. Patricia and Richard were co-leaders of a Hiking group in their retirement which led to fun exploring for possible hiking locations.

 Patricia is survived by one daughter: Kathryn West and her husband John Miller of Houston, TX; two sons: Richard West and his wife Yvette, of Durham, NC, Steven West and his wife Kristine of Long Beach, CA; five grandchildren, Kyle West of NC, Melissa Miller and her husband Bart McGuyer of NY, Alden West and his fiancé Ava Starr of NC, Nicholas Miller of GA and Carly West of NC; three brothers, Donald Kell of CA, Douglas Kell of KY, Dennis Kell of NJ; Three sisters, Micky Greenwood of NC, Judy Kell of KY, and Ann Hargett of SC and many beloved nieces and nephews.

 The family requests no flowers, contributions may be made to the nature charity of your choice
