Patricia Heatherley

Patricia Ann Heatherley went home to meet her Savior on Monday, September 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy anchored in unshakeable faith, profound strength, and boundless love.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy W. Heatherley Sr., her mother, Janie K. Page, and her father, Hubert Hall. She lives on through her devoted family: her brothers, Ronnie and Roger Hall; her daughter, Jacquelin Mays (Timothy); her son, Roy “Bo” Heatherley (Sharon); her granddaughters, Heather Lea Blythe, Elizabeth McCormick (Allen), April Clarke (Joshua), Emily Barker (Toby); her grandson, Richard “Rick” Preas Jr.; her great-granddaughters, Caelan and Zoe Blythe, Alicia Staton; Abigail, Tennessee, Harper, and Karter Clarke; her great-grandsons, Oliver Blythe, Nolan McCormick, Malcolm and Jack Barker; her great-great granddaughter, Wren Sprinkle; her great- great grandson, Wyatt Staton; many special nieces, nephews; and her most cherished fur-baby, Lexi Belle Heatherley.

Known affectionately to those who adored her as Mama Pat, Granny Pat, Ging Ging, and Nene, her world revolved entirely around her family. She possessed a rare warmth that made every grandchild and great-grandchild feel uniquely cherished—so much so that they still affectionately argue over who was truly her favorite. Some of her happiest moments were spent on the beach, listening to the ocean breeze surrounded by those she loved most, her heart filled with peace and gratitude.

Her devotion to Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. Whether singing praises to her Lord or extending grace to others, she embodied the tenderness of Ephesians 4:32: "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Pat was the most forgiving and loving person imaginable, greeting every challenge life threw her way with head-on courage, always finding the bright side and trusting in God’s goodness.

As one of a long line of strong, faithful women, she reflected the beauty of Proverbs 31:25-26: "Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue."

While our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in knowing she is peacefully resting in the presence of her Savior. May her steadfast spirit live on through our hearts, and may her love for kindness continue to guide our actions as we honor the remarkable woman she was.

.A Funeral Service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory -Lynchburg on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour prior.
