Nancy Sue Watson Wingfield, 82, of Bedford passed away on October 24, 2026. She was born on February 23, 1944, to the late Henry Earl Watson and Ollie James Markham Watson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Christopher Wingfield, son-in-law, Douglas Jones, and brother-in-law, Douglas Torrence.

She had a long career at Macy's, where she thoroughly enjoyed her work. She was a member of Bedford Baptist Church. She also loved going out with her Forest Friends, which brought her much happiness. Above all, Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother. That love and dedication stood among the defining blessings of her life and will remain a lasting part of her memory.

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Taylor and husband, Tracy, and Jennifer Stinnette and husband, Donald; grandchildren, Michael Christopher Wingfield, Jr., Matthew James Wingfield, Allison Sue Jones and, Reagan Alexandra Stinnette; sister, Doris Watson Torrence and daughter-in-law, Mary B. Wingfield and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Michael Khol officiating. A reception will follow the service at the home of Melissa and Tracy Taylor.
