Nancy Tayman Stanley

Nancy T Stanley, 85, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, She was the daughter of the late Corsey Tayman and Dorothy Tayman.

Nancy was born on February 24, 1941, in Lynchburg, VA. She attended school at E.C.Glass High School and then pursued a career as a legal secretary.

Nancy was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, gardening, painting, knitting, bowling and beach vacations.

Nancy is survived by her children, Gregory (Stephanie) Stanley of Goode and Patrick Stanley of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Taylor (Evan) Boyd of Bedford, Jordan (Libby) Stanley of Forest and Cami Stanley of Lynchburg; sibling Gayle Little of Richmond; a nephew Scott (Susan) Osborne; great granddaughters Harper Boyd and Adalyn Stanley.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 57 Years, Arnold “Duck” Stanley.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on September 19, 2026, at the Chapel at the Old City Cemetery.
