Nancy Lee Purvis

Nancy Lee Purvis, 78, of Madison Heights, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024.

Nancy was born October 22, 1945, in Lynchburg, a daughter of the late Sizer Purvis and Grace Hunter Purvis. Nancy was retired as a Certified Nurse’s Aide with the Central Virginia Training Center and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.

 She is survived by her two brothers: John Purvis of Madison Heights and Alfred Purvis and his wife Susan, of Madison Heights. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Soule B. Purvis and Morris H. Purvis.  

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. 

 A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with the Rev. Alton “Pete” Peters officiating. Interment will be held privately at Spring Hill Cemetery.

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
