Nancy Inez Jackson, aged 91, of Lynchburg, Virginia, peacefully departed this life on June 27, 2026, at Forest Health & Rehab. Born in Bedford County on January 2, 1935, she was the beloved child of Francis Theodore Spinner and Vea Mobeal Noell Spinner. Along with her parents, Inez was predeceased by her brothers: Francis Noell Spinner, Melvin B. Spinner, Jimmy V. Spinner, Lloyd M. Spinner, and sister Frankie S. Taylor.

Inez’s early years were spent in Bedford County, where she completed her education at Bedford Training School. Her professional journey began at Markham Fruit Stand and culminated in a distinguished retirement from the Medicare Center, after more than two decades of dedicated service.

Embracing faith from a young age, Inez became a devoted member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church. Her commitment extended to the Senior Choir, where she not only sang but also served as secretary and treasurer. Inez was a Deaconess, member of the Hospitality Committee, participated in the Missionary Ministry, and played an active role in numerous church endeavors. Her unwavering devotion was evident in her meticulous preparation of Communion.

Beyond her church and work, Inez was cherished as a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her warmth and generosity touched every life she encountered. Inez’s passions included canning, gardening, sewing, and delighting loved ones with signature treats like hermit and coconut cakes. Her home was a hub for laughter, conversation, and meaningful connections, and her presence radiated love and comfort.

Inez’s legacy continues through her devoted husband of 71 years, Deacon Hilton Jackson; seven children, James (Carolyn) Jackson of Lynchburg, VA, Gwendolyn Jackson of Woodbridge, VA, Kathy Jackson of Lynchburg, VA, Shirley Davis of Virginia Beach, VA, Christopher Jackson, Cecil (Denise) Jackson, and Michael Jackson of Lynchburg, VA; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Jessie Alexander, Virginia Mallette, Dorothy Spinner of Goode, VA, Nellie (James) Rose of Newport News, VA, and Youtha Spinner of Upper Marlboro, MD; two sisters-in-law, Florence Spinner and Geraldine Spinner of Goode, VA; and a vast circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
