Roxane Morehead, 70, of Naola, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. She was born in Lexington, Virginia on November 12, 1955, to Doris Bolden and the late Rocky Bolden. Roxane is survived by her husband of 49 years, Larry Morehead. In addition to mother and husband, she is survived by her children, Chad and Sammie Morehead and Chelsea and Travis Jones; her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Waylen and Whitley Ree; her siblings, Mike and Rhonda Bolden, Lisa Barton, Kim and Jim Bebeau, Carolyn R. Morehead and Don and Carolyn B. Morehead; Aunt Linda, Uncle Tate, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, as well as her grand-pups Marcella, Shooter, and Apollo. Roxane was predeceased by her father, Roger Bolden and her brother-in-law, C.V. Morehead.
Roxane was a born-again believer of Jesus Christ and a devoted member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Her spiritual gifts were the gifts of giving and serving. Over the years, she led WMU and was involved in many aspects of ministry.
Her greatest role was being, “Momma”. She always supported her children and grandchildren and was their biggest fan. As “Gran-Momma” she spoiled her grandkids and was always ready for a day filled with fun and dum-dums.
The family would like to thank everyone who prayed and helped during these past months. A special thank you to Rhonda Campbell for taking care of Roxane in her final weeks. Thank You to the Big Island Emergency Crew for helping grant her final wish to get outside and enjoy some sunlight and fresh air with family. Also, thank you to Dr. O at Pearson’s Cancer Center and Dr. Holmes at Centra Hospice for advocating for Roxane.
