Michelle Lynn Hockett Bull, 55, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born on September 9, 1971, in Lynchburg, Virginia, Michelle was the daughter of Vivian Burns Hockett of Lynchburg and the late Dennis O. Hockett, Sr. She served as the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services at Bob Jones University for many years.

Michelle was a member of Whites Methodist Church. She loved going for long walks and being outside in nature. Spending time with her family and friends brought her great joy. 

In addition to her loving mother, Michelle leaves to cherish her memory her son, John Q. Bull of Colorado; her daughter, Carrie Bull Rimsky and her husband, Charles, of South Carolina; and her brother, Dennis O. Hockett, Jr. and his wife Jody. 

A celebration of Michelle’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization and cause meaningful to Michelle, the American Cancer Society.
