Michael Albert Mason, 54, of Forest went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, unexpectedly, on 2/10/12 at Lynchburg General. Mike was born in Lynchburg, on 4/15/57.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Brenda (Rebel) Mason; his mother Jenny Wade Mason; son Zane; daughter Natasha; four stepdaughters, Rhonda, Tammy, Regina & Elizabeth; mother in-law Mabel. He was also the proud grandfather of four, Edward, Erica, Charlie, Stefan; one great grandson, Evan. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Mason; brothers, Terry & Kent Mason.
Mike had been employed for 32 years at Columbia Gas of VA, & the last year & a half at Wal-Mart on Old Forest Rd. He was a member of Forest Family Fellowship Church of the Nazarene.
Mike put God first in his life, family and friends next. He was a wonderful Husband, Son, Father, Papa & Friend.
In the spring, we will have a celebration of his life. Mike will be truly missed. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 586-3443.
