Melinda Funk Massie

Melinda Funk Massie, 61, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. She was born on July 2, 1964, to the late Evert Clinton and Patricia Thorne Funk.

She was survived by her daughter, Patricia Mays (Crystal); sisters, Cathy Greenwood (Eddie) and Ramona Wright (Rodney); stepmother, Bonnie Funk; two stepbrothers and one stepsister; two granddogs; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A family night celebrating her life will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights. The family will be receiving friends at all other times at 109 Wright Shop Road, Madison Heights, Va.
