Matthew Foster Thomas

Matthew Foster Thomas, 41, of Bedford, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in Lake Charles, LA. Matt was born on August 23, 1971 in Quebec, Canada.

 He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Thomas and daughter, Brittany Ann Thomas.

 Matt is survived by his wife, Nikki Lynn Thomas; a son Bradley Foster Thomas; his father, Ed Thomas; sister Lisa Thomas and her husband Robert Isaam of Roanoke; mother and father-in-law Shirley and Rodney Patsel; sister-in-law Rhonda Garcia and her husband Frank of New Mexico; five nephews and two nieces.

 Following his graduation from Cave Spring High School in 1989 he traveled, practicing his profession as a welder and pipefitter, in which he became one of the best. He was a member of Plumbers and Steam fitters Local 10, and a member of Masonic Lodge #244.

 A loving husband and devoted father, Matt was a wonderful provider for his family.

 A celebration of Matt\"™s life will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Peaks Community Cemetery with the Rev. James Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford, 6:00 \"" 8:00 pm, with Masonic Rites to be held at 6:30 pm.
