Mary (Sis) Eades Karnes

Mary (Sis) Eades Karnes, age 72, of Lynchburg went to be with the Lord on Sunday June 18, 2017. She was the widow of Bill Karnes and also preceded in death by her grandson Jacob Harris.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Carol Karnes Layne (Wendel) of Madison Heights, Donna Karnes Poe (Stephen) of Lynchburg and Tina Karnes Thornton of Lynchburg; 3 grandchildren: Jonathan Martin, Jessica Martin and Justin Poe; 3 great-grandchildren: Haiven Scott, Christian Martin and Delana Martin; a sister: Lois Bryant; a brother: James Eades (Cynthia).
Services will be at Tharp Funeral Home, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, Thursday, at 7:00 p.m. June 22, 2017 with Rev. Mike Dodson, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
