Mary Kathleen "Katie" Gunter

Mary Kathleen "Katie" Gunter, 76, of Lynchburg, VA passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024. She was born on October 28, 1947.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Iona Franklin, her son, Jeff Gunter and her loving husband, Wallace Gunter. In addition to her parents, son, and her husband, Katie also joins her siblings in Heaven, Evelyn Caldwell, Harold Franklin, Wilmoth Moore, Alvan Franklin, and Audrey Steele. What a family reunion! Praise God.

Katie leaves behind many friends and family, and two special nieces, Cheryl Steele and Robin Keesee who were her faithful caregivers, who will miss her terribly. Go rest high on that mountain!
