Mary Ann Francisco

Mary Ann “Tina” Francisco passed away on March 31, 2026 at her home in Bedford, VA., surrounded by her family.

Born October 27, 1963 to the late Elwood R. Garner, Sr and Nell D. (Holloman) Garner in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and raised in Southern Maryland.

It was there where she met the love of her life, Tony. She and Tony were married on December 27, 1983. 17 years later, they would welcome a son, John Anthony.

In 2021, Tina became Grammy for the first time. Miss Finnley Francisco would become the biggest joy ever brought to Tina’s life. Just 2 short weeks before her death, Tina welcomed her second grandchild, Xander.

Tina was loved by so many. All of her nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart. She treated each one as if they were her own. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the beach, crocheting, fishing and praising the Lord with her friends at Bedrock Church. She would spend hours daily on the phone with her sister-in-law, Fran discussing the bible and learning and sharing. She loved to be needed and would always be there for anyone in need. Tina accepted everyone as “family.”

Tina is survived by her husband of 42 years, John “Tony” Francisco, her son, John Anthony Francisco (Aisha) and her 2 beautiful grandchildren, her sister, Kay Willette of Clinton, NC, brothers Elwood Garner, Jr (Susie), Larry Garner, Lynn Garner (Fran) of Mechanicsville, MD and Randy Garner (Cassi) of Bedford, VA, and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Tina is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Joyce Windsor, brothers-in-law, Albert Windsor and Steve Francisco, sisters-in-law, Debbie Francisco and Wendy Francisco.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Francisco residence on October 24,2026, located at 1397 Karnes Road, Bedford, VA 24523. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, with a member of Bedrock Church officiating. Interment will take place.

Arrangements were handled by Tharp Funeral Home in Bedford.
