Martha S. Geha

Martha S. (Marti) Geha, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend passed away on September 12, 2026, in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 83 years of age. Born November 11, 1942, in Saint Joseph, Missouri, Marti was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Norma (Gregory) Geha.

Growing up in Missouri, Marti had a spark in her that was impossible to miss. She loved music, dancing, and being surrounded by people. During high school, it was her love of dancing that led her to appear on the nationally televised American Bandstand-an experience that captured her adventurous spirit and joy for life.

After attending the University of Missouri, Marti set off to create a life filled with adventure. She moved to Dallas, Texas, where she became an apprentice model for the flagship Neiman Marcus store. Her sense of adventure carried her into another exciting chapter when she became a stewardess for American Airlines. Marti embraced the opportunity to travel, meet new people, and experience the world.

Marti's years with American Airlines became much more than a career-they became the beginning of friendships and memories that would last a lifetime. Marti was a longtime member of the Kiwis, a club for retired American Airlines Flight Attendants. Through the Kiwis, she developed lifelong friendships that remained important to her long after her flying days were over.

In time, Marti discovered another passion and built a long and successful career in residential and commercial real estate, working in Florida, California, New Jersey, and Nevada. Marti's passion, intellect, and determination undoubtedly contributed to her great success.

But for all the places she lived and traveled, and for all she accomplished, her family was always at the center of her heart. She loved deeply and completely-nothing made her happier than being surrounded by the people she loved. She was a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother, a loving sister, and a treasured friend. To her grandsons, she was lovingly known as "M'ma," a name that came to represent warmth, laughter, unconditional love, and great pride.

Marti was predeceased by her beloved parents, Richard and Norma Geha, formally of Saint Joseph, Missouri, and by her adoring brother, Dr. Richard Geha. She is survived by her loving son, Christopher Kollman and his wife Laura Pekala of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, her beloved daughter, Candice Tyson, and her husband Kyle of Evington, Virginia; her grandsons Kyle Tyson, Kevin Kollman, Patrick Kollman, Nathaniel Kollman, and Timothy Pekala; and her sister-in-law Lisa Cifrese, along with extended family and dear friends.

Funeral arrangements, including interment at the family cemetery in Evington, Virginia, are private, under the direction of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, Virginia.

Marti leaves behind a family who will forever be shaped by her love and a lifetime of memories that will be treasured for generations to come. Her presence may no longer be beside them, but the love she gave will never leave them.

Marti danced through life with love, laughter, family and friendship-and those who knew her will continue to celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
