Martha Ann O’Neil

Martha Ann O’Neil, 84, of Lynchburg passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

Martha was born in Utica, New York, August 13, 1940, and was the daughter of the late William Cleary and Helen Cook Cleary. Martha was retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Westminster Canterbury.

She is survived by her four sons; Roger O’Neil (Susan) of Amherst, Ron O’Neil of Waynesboro, Randy O’Neil (Ruth) of Lynchburg, and Rick O’Neil (Kimberly) of Lynchburg, twelve grandchildren; Shane, Jessicia, Josh, Bethany, Rebekah, Brandon, Kevin, Jakob, Ryan, Alicia, Nicole, and Erin, and eight great-grandchildren; Ashley, Connor, Avery, Robbie, Maizie, Ty, Caleb, and Arthur.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings.

A Celebration of Martha’s Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home with Pastor Timothy Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
