Martha Lee Agee

Martha Hill Agee, 86, of Bedford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 7, 2025.

She was born in Roanoke, VA on October 22, 1939, to the late Maynard and Helen Hill.

Martha spent much of her life helping and caring for others, she loved to read, sing, Earl Grey Tea, and taking trips with her family and friends. Martha was a member of Epworth Methodist Church in Thaxton, VA and Stoney Creek Rebekah Lodge # 103.

Martha was preceded in death by her son: Bradley Agee; granddaughters, Victoria Detamore, Grace Detamore; and brother, Steve Hill.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 54 years James Agee; daughter Valerie Agee (Bo); Grandsons Justin Detamore (Macy), Lucas Detamore (Holly); Great-Grandchildren: Grayson, Kay, Rucker, Tate, Hannah and Soon to arrive, Willow; Sister Jean Huff (Lewis); Sister in-law Teresa Martin (Dan) , her four legged baby Bentley, and many other family members and friends she loved dearly.

Special Thank you from the family to Lisa Hicks and Heartland Hospice for taking such good care of Martha.

The family requests , in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to The Bedford Humane Society.

There will be a Graveside Service at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Suck Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
