Marjorie Carwile Montgomery, 94, of Lynchburg, VA, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023. She was the wife of the late E.S. “Monty” Montgomery.
Marjorie was born October 21, 1928, in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of the late Claude Carwile and Thelma Tucker Carwile.
She is survived her children, Lanelle Brooks and Dennis Montgomery, and his wife, Yvonne; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary L. Montgomery, and two brothers, Claude Carwile, Jr., and James Carwile.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 pm on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg.
