Margaret Elaine Magnan

Margaret Elaine Moles Magnan, 55, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026.

An avid reader with a kind heart and a lifelong love for animals, Margaret found her greatest joy in quiet moments with a good book and the loyal companionship of her pets. Over the years, she shared her life with many beloved furry companions—including Big Un, Head Dog, Bullwinkle (Winkie), and Peanut—who undoubtedly greeted her with wagging tails.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Christina Trail of Lynchburg; her mother, Elaine D. Moles of Blue Ridge; her brothers, Jeffrey Trail (Denise) and Daniel Trail (Jennifer), both of Lynchburg; her sister, Annette Carter (Rick) of Blue Ridge; her beloved dog, Camo; as well as numerous cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harles Lester Moles, and her brother, Dwayne Elliott Moles.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Margaret’s honor to the Bedford County Animal Shelter, celebrating her deep compassion for animals.
